The Auronzo Refuge is located at an altitude of 2,333 m and and you can reach it on foot or driving up the quite large scenic route, in a majestic landscape, overlooked by the three needles which are a practice wall uniting the earth with the sky.
It has 25 comfortable rooms with a minimum of two beds to a maximum of six sleeping berths with a total of 99 sleeping places, in an incredible scenery, with the courtesy of a place run directly by the local section of the CAI Auronzo where you can enjoy the delicious food of its restaurant.
We are in the heart of the Dolomites proclaimed in 2009 “World Heritage Site” and of which the Tre Cime di Lavaredo is the symbol and best-known image.
Auronzo Hut is at the foot of the south face of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the main starting point to get to know and explore them. There are countless possibilities for excursions, crossings and climbing, for every taste and difficulty; you are spoiled for choice.
The refuge is accessible, from the end of May to October, mainly via the municipal road that starts from Misurina.
The refuge is 25 kilometers far from Auronzo di Cadore, 18 km from Cortina and 16 km from Alta Pusteria.
A second access to the Auronzo Refuge starts from Val Marzon; other accesses are possible from nearby refuges via numerous and panoramic paths.
During the winter, the refuge (which usually opens on weekends, with only a bar-restaurant service) can be reached from the southern side, that is, from Lake Misurina and Lake Antorno, on foot, with snowshoes or with mountaineering skis.
